We are a Directly Authorised Mortgage Broker experiencing growth with plans to expand the business substantially.

We are looking to recruit a Trainee Mortgage Adviser to work with us at our Sheffield City centre office.

The role will involve learning and experiencing the process of completing a regulated Mortgage from initial contact right through to completion of the application.

Initially based within our Mortgage sales Assessor team, you will speak to customers who have applied via one of the many marketing channels we operate and take a full detailed fact-find whilst gaining trust and explaining the process and timescales involved with finding that customer the right product for their particular circumstances.

You will be the first point of contact for Friends Capital and it is therefore imperative that you have an impeccable telephone manner and can quickly display the highest level of professionalism that this role requires.

We have an ever-increasing number of enquiries daily and therefore this initial role will be driven by stretching targets and an ability to think on your feet regarding any initial questions or queries a customer may present you with.

Whilst in this role you will not be expected to give any financial advice but will still need to exude an air of technical knowledge and competency around the Mortgage and Financial services arena.

The Person

Ideally, you will have some experience of working for a Financial services business or in a contact centre -centre, ideally both, with a desire to become a qualified Mortgage Advisor within 18 months. You will be supported through this period with in-house training from experienced Mortgage Advisors and also external partners.

You will be hungry to learn about our industry and have a desire to become a key team player within our close-knit team.

This role would be suited to someone who is ;

• Experienced or who has experience working in a call-centre environment working inbound & outbound sales campaigns.
• Preferably has some experience,though not essential,of the Financial Services industry either in completing and taking Mortgage applications or other financial products.
• Willing to work on a flexible rota of 37.5 hours per week to suit the needs of our customers requirements between Monday and Saturday.
• Hungry to maximise their earnings with an achievable uncapped bonus scheme for over-achievement of targets.
• Used to working in a fast-paced sales environment with a willingness to learn quickly.
• You will be confident in speaking to clients over the phone and have a professional manner.You will be a highly motivated and sales driven individual with an ambition to earn substantial commission.

Responsibilities

To call customers in a timely manner from our state of the art CRM system who have applied for a Friends Capital product ,either a Mortgage, Loan or Insurance policy.Other products will be added to our portfolio giving the candidate more opportunity to broaden their experience and bonus earning potential.

You will be responsible for managing your own workflow priorities and be expected to be on top of any new enquiries that appear throughout the working day.We work to a strict service level agreement with most of our advisors which will be uppermost in your daily priorities.

Liaising with our Mortgage & protection advisors you will also be expected to monitor their workflows in terms of case numbers,shift patterns,callbacks etc.
